OUR VISION
Hidden Pearls Healing Center (HPHC) is a Holistic Education Agricultural Learning Institute for a New Generation (HEALING).
HPHC works with middle schools and high schools in New York State to co-plan project based and hands-on learning opportunities with students and their families. HPHC is located on four acres in Chenango Forks, New York.
HPHC is currently in the process of forming a cooperatively owned agriculture and education center on 52 acres across the street.
The Living Farm Project, under the guidance of Brett Grant, embodies a holistic educational philosophy that positions students not just as learners but as co-pilots in the educational process. This approach is in perfect alignment with the Commission’s emphasis on project-based and experiential learning.
The Living Farm Project is deeply rooted in the principles of ecological literacy and lifelong optimal learning, as outlined in Grant’s dissertation. By engaging students directly in activities such as regenerative agriculture, ecological design, and sustainable practices, the project transforms the farm into a living classroom where theory and practice converge seamlessly.
This initiative goes beyond traditional academics, fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and self-direction—skills that are essential for both academic and career success.
